Call for Proposals

CASE District VIII invites you to join us in Vancouver, BC on February 23 – 25, 2011, for our annual District Conference in beautiful Vancouver, BC at the Sheraton Wall Centre.

One great way to participate is to share your best practices, successes and challenges, and cutting-edge ideas with your peers by leading a session at the conference. The deadline for proposals is August 26th and you can download a Proposal Submission form:
Submission form as a Word document (fill out and email to mark.koenig@oregonstate.edu)
Submission form as a PDF file (print, fill out and fax to Mark Koenig - 541-737-9689)

The CASE Conference Program Committee designs the curriculum of the conference, with an eye toward presenting sessions and topics that are relevant to all practitioners.

The conference will include three days of sessions, including presentations for new-professionals, mid-professional and senior level staff in these conference tracks:

• Alumni Relations
• Advancement Services
• Philanthropy
• Communications
• Chief Advancement Officer
• Master Sessions – 2 ½ hour sessions designed to provide an in-depth analysis of a particular topic
• Breakfast Roundtable Sessions– Short, facilitated morning sessions that embark on a particular topic in an open informal forum

We are offering the opportunity for our CASE Educational Partners (consultants/vendors/sponsors) to present in a special track this year. For more information about CASE Educational Partner opportunities and costs, please contact Sponsorship Chair Tom Bull at 425-602-3354 or tbull@bastyr.edu. Outside of this track, CASE Educational Partners (consultants/vendors/sponsors) are welcome to co-present with an active practitioner from a CASE member institution.

Selection Procedure:
The CASE Conference Program Committee will begin reviewing submissions after August 25, 2010, selecting those which best support conference program objectives, including timeliness of topic, relevance to a broad audience and specific take-aways for attendees. All those submitting proposals will receive notification regarding acceptance or not in September. Those selected to present will also be contacted for additional information required to schedule their program at that time.

Important Notices:
All presenters must register for the conference. The Conference Planning Committee, Conference Volunteers, and Conference Presenters are responsible for their own expenses, including registration, travel to Vancouver, hotel accommodations, and any meals or special events not included in conference registration fees.

If you need assistance or more information, please contact the Program Committee Chair, Mark Koenig, mark.koenig@oregonstate.edu or 541-737-7360.
